NAPS Mourns the Passing of U.S. Congressman Gerry Connolly
May 21, 2025
The National Association of Postal Supervisors (NAPS), representing the approximately 47,000 postal supervisors, managers and postmasters of the United States Postal Service, mourns the passing of Rep. Gerry Connolly and extends its deepest sympathies to his family and staff.
Rep. Connolly was a fearless advocate on behalf of active and retired postal and federal employees who faithfully and energetically represented his constituents in Northern Virginia. Among members of NAPS, he was a legislative giant, introducing numerous bills to enhance their work experience and their rights. He also was a familiar participant at legislative conferences, who, on one occasion, entertained and educated conference participants by posing as a Colonial-Era postal stakeholder.
NAPS members will sorely miss Rep. Connolly’s sage wisdom and Irish humor. May Gerry’s memory be a blessing for all who knew him.
