Today, April 16, 2024, the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Govermental Affairs conducted a consequential hearing examining eroding performance and financial conditions within the United States Postal Service (USPS). Committee Chairman Gary Peters (D-MI) led the hearing. Witnesses included Postmaster General Louis DeJoy, USPS Chairman of the Board Roman Martinez IV, Postal Regulatory Committee Chairman Michael Kubayanda, and Postal Inspector General Tammy Hull. The hearing and witness testimonies can be viewed here. In addition, NAPS President Ivan Butts provided tetsimony on behalf of the USPS' approximately 47,000 postal supervisors, managers and postmasters, which can be viewed here.
