In light of NAPS’ continued objec-tions to the millions of dollars spent on Article 8 grievances, USPS Head-quarters contacted NAPS concerning the extension of pay compensation as part of the original Agreement on Ex-empt Managers and Postmasters De-livering Mail. The agency has extend-ed the special exempt extension until Dec. 29, 2023.
USPS Headquarters has indicated that staffing concerns have eased con-siderably. As a result, the hours of EAS employees delivering mail should be significantly reduced. NAPS continues to push the Postal Service to revamp the onboarding process, as well as offer more competitive salaries that would attract people to work for the agency.
